What Al Furjan is like
The name means small villages, and the layout reflects it: wide streets, generous plots, walking and cycling paths and a genuinely suburban feel, developed principally by Nakheel with Azizi and others adding apartment stock. Two community pavilions provide the supermarkets, clinics, gyms and cafés, and there is a community club with pool and courts.
Getting in and out
Direct Dubai Metro access via the Route 2020 Red Line extension, rare for a villa-and-apartment community this far south, plus Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
Who it suits
Families who want schools and space with a metro station on the doorstep, and investors who value the combination of transport access and mid-market pricing, which is unusual to find together.
Al Furjan has absorbed a lot of new apartment supply from many different developers, so building quality and service charges vary. Check yours against completed neighbours. Parts of the community are still under construction, so confirm what is going up next to your plot.
